Thanksgiving Dangers and Your Pets

Thanksgiving, while a joyous occasion, it can also be fraught with dangers for our pets. Sometimes our guests may not be as good about closing the door before the cat or dog runs past them. Or those guests may even inadvertently be very frightening for many pets who are not used to or don't like strangers. But some of the biggest concerns are foods, many of the wonderful foods that we can safely enjoy at holidays are toxic to our pets.

For many pets, the safest place for them during the holiday is to be excluded from the festivities. This can simply be to create a safe and quiet room in the house for them and make sure your guests know not to disturb them.

However, if your pet does manage to get him or herself into trouble, please contact our office at 978-433-8613. Or for after hours emergencies, please seek assistance from one of the local 24-hour emergency hospitals, you can get their information here.
